Residents of Sushma Valencia Society, located on Nagla Road, staged a strong protest today against the builder and local administration over the lack of basic amenities. They alleged that for the past three years, they have been struggling for essential facilities, but their complaints have not received any satisfactory response.
The residents highlighted the absence of proper security arrangements in the society, leading to fears of thefts and other untoward incidents. They further stated that irregular electricity supply and acute water shortage have severely affected their daily lives. According to them, power outages often last for long durations, and there is a significant scarcity of potable water.
During the protest, residents urged the local administration to intervene immediately, hold the builder accountable, and ensure the provision of basic amenities. They warned that if their demands are not met soon, they will intensify their agitation.
The protesters also accused the builder of failing to fulfill promises made at the time of selling the flats, including 24-hour electricity, water supply, and high-level security. As a result, many buyers feel cheated.
During the protest, residents urged the local administration to intervene immediately, hold the builder accountable, and ensure the provision of basic amenities. They warned that if their demands are not met soon, they will intensify their agitation.
The incident once again highlights the gap between promises made in residential projects and the reality on the ground.
