Spain: Representing India on one of youth football’s biggest stages, Minerva Academy delivered a commanding performance to defeat USA-based Boca Orange Club 4-1 in their opening fixture of the prestigious MIC Cup.

Up against a physically strong and well-drilled United States side, Minerva showcased composure, tactical intelligence, and attacking quality to take full control of the contest from the outset.

Operating in a dynamic 4-3-3 formation, Minerva imposed their high-pressing philosophy against the USA outfit, who lined up in a compact 4-4-2 system. The opening exchanges were lively, with the American side looking to use their pace on the counter, but Minerva’s structure and pressing soon began to dictate the tempo.

The breakthrough came in the 15th minute when Chetan Tiwari produced a powerful finish to give Minerva the lead against their USA opponents. The goal set the tone for what would become a dominant display.

Just four minutes later, Konthoujam Chetan doubled the advantage, finishing clinically to put Minerva 2-0 ahead against the American side. At that stage, Minerva was in complete control, both tactically and territorially.

Despite efforts from the USA club to respond through quick transitions, Minerva’s defensive discipline ensured they went into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead. The second half saw the United States team briefly come back into the contest, pulling one goal back to make it 2-1. However, Minerva’s response once again underlined their superiority

In the 35th minute, Konthoujam Chetan completed his brace with another composed finish, restoring the two-goal cushion against the USA opposition and effectively ending any hopes of a comeback.
The final blow came in the 46th minute when Azam Khan finished with precision, sealing a comprehensive 4-1 victory over the American club.

Minerva Academy’s performance against their USA opponents was defined by high intensity, tactical discipline, and clinical execution in the final third. Every phase of play reflected preparation and belief, as the Indian side controlled the game against international competition.

With goals from Chetan Tiwari (15’), Konthoujam Chetan (19’, 35’), and Azam Khan (46’), Minerva Academy’s “Warriors” have begun their campaign undoubtedly. Against a strong USA side, this was more than just a win — it was a statement of intent on the global stage.
