The critical pillars of Media Ethics, Accountability, and Self-Evaluation took center stage during insightful Plenary Session at the 2025-Media Conference, themed: ‘Media’s Role as a Harbinger of Global Peace and Harmony,’ organized by the Brahma Kumaris ay Gyan Sarovar.

Rajesh Rajore, Resident Editor, Dainik Deshonnati, Khamgaon, emphasized the media's societal and global responsibility. He stressed the urgent need for the media to regain public trust and suggested an internal audit to ensure truthful reporting over sensationalism.

Dr. Urvashi Parmar, Sr. Asst. Professor, JMC, MCNL University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal put emphasis on truth and objectivity, asserting that trust and credibility are impossible without them. B.K. Sushant said the media should adopt a "paternal attitude" in its reporting, urging self-reflection on whether a story will help or harm the public, distinguishing between public interest and what is merely interesting.

Umanath Singh, Sr. editor, DD News, Prasar Bharti, Delhi emphasized on spirituality as a vital foundation for maintaining strength and composure amidst professional challenges. Dr. Ashutosh Ojha, News Editor, Business Standard (Web), Noida said that the media can only fulfill its role as the fourth pillar of democracy when it is not only free but also responsible, accountable, and ethical. Shaifali Gupta, Director & Editor, Dakhal News Channel, Bhopal strongly advocated for mandatory media education, asserting that without it, awareness of ethical codes, accountability, and evaluation is lacking. Prof. (Dr.) Govind Singh, Media Advisor to the CM, Uttarakhand said that ethical, accountable, and responsible journalism requires inner strength.
