All leaves of medical staff have been cancelled in Chandigarh. The Health Department has issued an order that all leaves of all medical officer in-charges and employees posted at hopsitals have been cancelled till further orders. Now they will have to be ready for 24x7 emergency duty. They will have to report for duty immediately when called anywhere and at any time.
The order further states that the medical staff will have to be on call 24x7. They will have to respond immediately when a call is received from the department. If this is not done, strict action will be taken.
