SHIVARATRI CELEBRATED WITH FERVOUR AND GAIETY IN ABOHAR

Maha Shivaratri was celebrated with fervour and gaiety here on Friday.

Hundreds of people assembled at Rajyoga Bhawan on the old Fazilka Road. DSP Rahul Bhardwaj was welcomed by applying traditional vermilion by center head BK Pushplata. He hoisted Shiva flag and released colourful balloons in the sky as the gathering showered rose petals. Later a function was organised inside the complex.

Bhardwaj was joined in lighting of traditional lamps by Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh, District Congress former president Vimal Thatai, ex Councillor Suversha Narang, Dr Ajay Gupta, ex ITO Bal Ram Singla, Dr Jaswant Singh, Dr Rakesh Arora and BK sisters. Rajyoga teachers BK Darshana and BK Sunita enlightened the audience about significance of the festival.

Sadosh explained the history and achievements of Brahmakumaris organisation. BK Shalu and Dr Shivangi welcomed the guests by presenting bouquets and pinning badges on the occasion.
