DRUG PEDDLAR ARRESTED IN DIPLOMATIC AREA OF CHANAKYAPURI, 542 GRAMS GANJA RECOVERED

Police Station Chankyapuri, New Delhi District has arrested a drug peddlar Vikash, aged 25 Years s/o Chand Singh r/o Punjabi Basti, Baljeet Nagar, New Delhi and recovered 542 Grams of Ganja from his possession.

Dr. EISH SINGHAL, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi District, New Delhi said, on Thursday  Ct. Dhirender No. 1171/ND along with Ct. Ram Raj No. 2101/ND were deployed on Motor Cycle (Victor-89) duty from 8 am to 8 pm in PS Chanakaypuri area.

At about 7 pm, during patrolling, they reached at Sardar Patel Marg-Malcha Marg T-Point, Chanakaypuri, New Delhi and found that one motor cycle rider driving his motor cycle bearing registration No. DL-10SV-0610 in Zig-Zag (Stunt) way. He was signaled to stop. He did not stop and ran away from there. He was chased by the staff of motor cycle Victor-89 and was stopped after a chase of almost 100 meters. On verification, he was found to be suspicious. On enquiry, he revealed his name and address as Vikash S/o Chand Singh R/o Punjabi Basti, Baljeet Nagar, New Delhi, Age 25 Years.

Thereafter, the information of the detained person was given to PS Chanakyapuri. SI Ashok along with Ct. Deepak No. 1491/ND reached to the place and search of suspect was made. During the search of suspect, total 542 Grams Ganja was recovered from his bag. The due procedure of NDPS Act was followed. A case vide FIR No. 96/20 U/s 21/61/85 NDPS Act dated 12.11.2020 has been registered in PS Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. On further investigation, it was revealed that accused Vikash is also involved in two more cases. 

The accused previously involved in FIR No. 301/2016 u/s 308/34 IPC PS Anand Parbat, Central Distt, New Delhi., FIR No. 343/2017 u/s 308/323/341/506/34 IPC PS Anand Parbat, Central Distt, New Delhi.
