At the 'Sewa Yajna' organized by the Hiteshi Foundation, jerseys, shoes and socks were distributed to about 150 needy students of four Sanskar Kendras that are run by the Sewa Bharati.

Indian Medical Association ex-president Dr. Harsh Wadhwa, Gaushala president Faquir Chand Goyal, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh and Sewa Bharati state vice president Krishna Arora lighted traditional lamps on the occasion.

  Foundation vice president Kulbhushan Hiteshi welcomed the guests.

Chairman Bharat Hiteshi, who could not turn up, said in a message that the foundation constituted in the memory of his renowned father, a veteran social activist Mathura Dass Hiteshi, mother Lajwanti and uncle Subhash Hiteshi is determined to contribute to higher education especially of meritorious girl students. It has been decided to honor the girls who secure first, second and third positions in Class X, XII, BA final and B.Ed exams at the tehsil level in 2021.

Competitions in speech, debate, poetry, dance and painting will be organised to explore hidden talent in institutions. Apart from this, distributing jerseys, shoes, socks and reading material etc. to the needy children will also be included in the major social service activities.

The Foundation will distribute tri-cycles to the Divyang besides blankets to the needy during the winter season. In the Panchkula and Abohar special health check-up camps will also be organised under health awareness program. Praveen Chawla conducted the programme, Naresh Baghla thanked the audience.
