It may not out of place to mention here that similar incident came to light last year as Anil Ahirwar, a senior section engineer in the Indian Railways, was also arrested by Mumbai's Crime Branch in October last year. Ahirwar worked in the division which was concerned with issuing tenders. Four others, including Ahirwar, were accused of taking a bribe of Rs 2.73 crore to get a tender from a Gujarat businessman to buy hose pipes used in trains.
