DELHI FORMER POLICE COMMISSIONER YUDHBIR SINGH DADWAL PASSES AWAY

Shri Yudhbir Singh Dadwal, former Commissioner of Police, Delhi breathed his last at his residence last night, after a prolonged illness.

Sh. Y S Dadwal, IPS officer of 1974 batch, served as Commissioner, Delhi Police, from July 2007 to November 2010. He had also served as Jt.CP/ New Delhi Range, Armed Police and Provisions & Logistics, and as Spl CP/ Intelligence & Operations and Administration in Delhi Police and as Head of force in Daman & Diu, Chandigarh and Arunachal Pradesh before his appointment as CP, Delhi. Shri Dadwal retired as Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in 2011.

Delhi Police remembers Shri Y S Dadwal for his exemplary leadership in building the morale of the force and impactful systemic changes in the organisation. Under his leadership, Delhi Police won accolades for flawless and incident free police arrangements for the Delhi Commonwealth Games – 2010.

Delhi Police prays for peace of the departed soul and offers heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
