A team of 40 sarpanches, including 12 women, led by BDPO Madan Mohan from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, visited village Amir Khasin Fazilka district near the international border. The purpose of the visit was to get information about the Panchayati Raj Institutions and the development works under the Gram Panchayat.

The team visited Government Primary Smart School, Medical Sub Center, Anganwari Center, Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, Water Treatment System, village Selfie Point and finally the Cemetery. The team was impressed with the design of the projects and the materials used.

G.O.G. Tehsil chief Captain Amrit Lal informed about all the projects. On the occasion Sarpanch Harbans Lal welcomed the delegation from Jammu and Kashmir and briefed them about the government grants, MGNREGA scheme. The delegation thanked the village panchayat and said we have learnt a lot here.
