TWO POLICE OFFICERS INJURED DURING THE ENCOUNTER., HE WAS WANTED IN A SERIES OF BRUTAL MURDERS IN HARYANA.

In the intervening night of 23rd June, information was received from the STF, Haryana Police that Romil was possibly going to commit a crime in Delhi. On this, a joint team of Haryana STF and Special Cell was constituted.
On Tuesday morning, near Haryana-Delhi border, in South Delhi, a joint team of Delhi & Haryana Police had an encounter with criminal Romil, in which one Sub Inspector each from Delhi and Haryana Police were injured. Criminal Romil also sustained bullet injuries. He was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment where he was declared dead.
A reward of Rs. 3,00,000/- was declared on Romil by Haryana Police.
Mr. Pramod Singh Kushwah, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, Delhi, said in the last two months, Romil Vohra, resident of Yamunanagar, Haryana was wanted in a series of brutal murders in Haryana. He was involved in the sensational Shantanu murder case in Kurukshetra and a heinous triple murder case in Yamunanagar. He was also wanted in an Arms Act case registered by the Special Cell, Delhi.
Gangster Veerendra Pratap @ Kala Rana, extradited from Bangkok, and his foreign-based brother Surya Pratap @ Noni Rana had taken responsibility for the murders in Haryana.
