YouTUBER EXTORTING MONEY OF RS. ONE LAKH FROM MINISTER PA NABBED, REMANDED TO POLICE CUSTODY

A case has come to light against Haryana government's cabinet minister Dr. Arvind Sharma's personal assistant (P.A.) Deepak Kaushik for trying to tarnish his image by running a false and misleading news on social media. After investigating the matter, Panchkula police arrested K-9 Media channel operator Arun Kumar from Gohana on  July 16.

{olice said, Deepak Kaushik, resident of Sector-20 Panchkula, had complained to the police on 10 July that he is working as a civil engineer in the office of Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma. On 5 July, he had attended the International Cooperative Day program organized at Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector-5 with the minister. Meanwhile, information was received about a false news being broadcast by a channel named 'K-9 Media' on the social media platform Facebook, in which it was told that the minister's P.A. has molested a female cleaning worker in a bungalow in Chandigarh.

While the reality is that the PA had only reprimanded the cleaning worker for not cleaning properly. The cleaning worker herself released a video and has clearly denied any kind of molestation.

ACP Vikram Nehra, while sharing the information of the case, said that when the minister's PRO Lavesh Sharma talked to the channel operator Arun Kumar, he demanded money in exchange for removing the news. Lavesh Sharma talked to his colleague Anil Sharma in this regard and said that you should also talk to Arun Sharma about this, on which Arun Sharma demanded money.

It was also revealed in the investigation that this news was also broadcast on Facebook channels named 'Khari-Khari News' and 'Satya Khabar'. They will also be included in the investigation soon. Apart from these, if the involvement of anyone else is found in motivating to run this news, then legal action will be taken against them too.

ACP Vikram Nehra further said that a case was registered in Sector-5 police station of Panchkula under Section 61(2), 353(2) and 308(2) of the Indian Penal Code and investigation was started in which Cyber Crime Police Station in-charge Sub Inspector Yudhveer Singh and Investigation Officer Bhup Singh posted in Sector-5 police station investigated the case thoroughly.

During the investigation, one lakh rupees given by witness Sachin was recovered from the spot, Apart from this, two mobile phones were also recovered from Arun Kumar. It is worth noting that a case of spreading misleading news has already been registered against K-9 media operator Arun Kumar in Gohana police station.

The police arrested the accused Arun Kumar and presented him in the court  on Thursday, where he has been sent on one-day police remand. During the remand, the police will recover the mobile and laptop from which the video was uploaded.
