Raj Sadosh/Abohar.
There is a saying - To grow mustard on the palm (To make the impossible possible), a living example of this came to light here.
Parveen Chawla, convener of the All NGOs Sangam, received a call at 11.30 am that a patient in the Civil Hospital immediately requires B positive blood. At 11.36, the message was flashed on the social media group. At 11.37, Aseem Chhabra, whose birthday is today, got up from his seat and informed while walking that he was going to donate blood. At 11.40, he reached the hospital and contacted the patient’s attendant. At 11.58 am Chhabra’s photo was received while donating blood. Thus, the donation came in faster than a storm and the patient’s need was fulfilled.
Aseem Chhabra is treasurer of the All India Arora Khatri Punjabi Community’s Abohar unit. He donated blood for 68th time, luckily on his birthday.
