CBI reportedly booked Anil Ambani's company Reliance Communications (RCom) in 2000 crores loan fraud case. CBI also raided the company's offices and places related to Anil Ambani on Saturday. This fraud has happened with State Bank of India (SBI).
Earlier on July 23, ED had raided more than 35 places related to Anil Ambani's Reliance Group. This raid was conducted in the case of loan fraud of Rs 3000 crore taken from Yes Bank. This matter was referred by Yes Bank to Reliance Group companies associated with Anil Ambani during 2017 to 2019. This relates to loans of approximately Rs 2,000 crore given. Preliminary investigation has revealed that these loans were allegedly made through shell companies and other entities of the group.
Earlier, CBI had registered FIRs in two cases. These matters were transferred by Yes Bank to Reliance Home Finance Limited and Reliance Commercial Finance Limited. The given two relate to different loans. In both the cases, the CBI had named former Yes Bank CEO Rana Kapoor.
After this, an official said that National Housing Bank, SEBI, National Financial Reporting Other agencies and institutions like the authority and Bank of Baroda also shared information with the ED. Now ED is investigating this matter.
The ED had said in its report that it was a “well thought out and planned” scheme under which banks, Money was embezzled by giving false information to shareholders, investors and other public bodies. The investigation revealed several irregularities, such as: Weak or unverified companies Loans., Use of same director and address in multiple companies. Absence of necessary documents related to the loan.

A few days ago, State Bank of India approved Anil Ambani's company Reliance Communications and Anil Ambani. SBI says that RCom misused the loan taken from the bank worth Rs 31,580 crore. Of this, about Rs 13,667 crore was spent in repaying loans of other companies. Rs 12,692 crore were transferred to other Reliance Group companies.
SBI also said that we are in the process of filing a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in this matter. Additionally, a personal bankruptcy case has been filed against Anil Ambani in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Mumbai.
