The last rites of Punjabi comedy king Jaswinder Bhalla were performed in a sad atmosphere in Mohali on Saturday. His body was brought from home to the crematorium in a funeral bus decorated withflowers, where a large number of people came to bid their last farewell. His son lit the fire .
Gippy Grewal, Neeru Bajwa and Binu Dhillon, were present to bid him farewell. Many other personalities from the film world including Sharma were also present. Leaders of political parties also came to pay tribute to Bhalla.
The atmosphere became emotional during the funeral when the son lit the funeral pyre for his father. During this time the eyes of the family and loved ones became moist. Strict police arrangements were made at the crematorium to manage the crowd.
Jaswinder Bhalla died of brain stroke on Friday at Fortis Hospital at age of 65. He was born on 4 May 1960 in Doraha town of Ludhiana and later he worked in Punjab Agriculture University.
