Under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan, Principal, DAV College, Abohar, the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Postgraduate Department of Punjabi, organized a symposium on the topic "Migration and Punjab: Facing Challenges." Renowned literary figure Rajinder Mazi presided over the symposium.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan welcomed the guests and thanked them for bringing this sensitive issue to the attention of the audience. Professor Kamaljit Singh from Punjabi University Regional Centre, Bathinda; Dr. Bali Bahadur from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda; and senior literary figure Jaspal Mankhera, Member Advisory Board (Punjabi), Sahitya Akademi, reflected on the background of migration and highlighted its present and future aspects in the context of Punjab.

HoD Dr. Tarsem Sharma thanked the guests. Dr. Maninder Singh moderated the session. All guests were honored with mementos, and a commitment was expressed that the Sahitya Akademi will continue to share similar thoughtful forums with DAV College in the future.
