INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF COOPERATIVES: TWO-DAY TRAINING AND AWARENESS SEMINAR ORGANISED

Celebrating the International Year of Cooperatives, a two-day training and awareness seminar was organised jointly under the joint aegis of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), Tantia University, Sriganganagar, the Department of Cooperatives, and Tantia Yuva Shakti Vikas Sahakari Samiti Limited, under the direction of Vice Chairperson Dr. Mohit Tantia.

Dr. Vikas Sachdeva, General Manager of the Tantia Group, said that the University's Controller of Examinations, Dr. Rajendra Godara, and Dr. Ummed Singh Shekhawat, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp before the Ganesh idol. Abhishek Agarwal, Program Officer at the Public Policy Research Center (PPR) in the Department of Cooperatives, who joined virtually from Delhi, spoke on the topic of digital literacy and cybersecurity, saying that Aadhaar cards should not be given everywhere. If we remain vigilant, the number of cybercrimes can be reduced. Exercise caution when downloading apps. Dr. Samarpal Singh, senior scientist of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (PUSA), discussed integrated farming.

Deepak Kukkar, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Department, Hariram Chauhan, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad, Bhupendra Ahuja, President of Traders Association. Dr. Atul Kumar Sahuwala, CA Nishit Agarwal, Parvesh Parashar, Chander Shekhar gave significant information. Speakers appreciated Tantia Group and Vice Chairperson Dr. Mohit Tantia for tirelessly working for the cooperative movement. Vijayalakshmi and Paras Kanwar also expressed their views.
