The Central bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended Postal Assistant, Seraikela Sub Division, Seraikela, Jharkhand while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant.

CBI registered the instant case on 11.11.2025 against the said accused on receipt of a complaint alleging that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant to allow him to join as Gramin Dak Sevak, Assistant Branch Post Master (GDS ABPM) at Kamalpur Branch Office (B.O) under Sub-Office (S.O) Seraikela.

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant. Investigation is continuing.
