SRIGANGANAGAR SP SEEKS COOPERATION FROM RETIRED POLICE PERSONNEL IN CONTROLLING CRIME AND DRUG DE-ADDICTION

At a meeting in the district police lines, Sriganganagar SP Dr. Amrita Duhan sought active contribution of retired police personnel in crime control and drug de-addiction.

The meeting was coordinated by the district president of the Retired Police Employees Welfare Association Kanta Singh Dhillon. Additional Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Lal was also present.

SP Dr. Amrita Duhan said that even though these officers and employees are retired, their years of experience and skills are invaluable to the police department. The SP specifically requested their cooperation in dealing with various crimes. She urged them to provide immediate information and actively assist in apprehending fugitive criminals, as well as in cases of theft, robbery, snatching, drug trafficking, and sales.

The SP said that retired police personnel should still consider themselves part of the police family, and the police will fully cooperate with them. She emphasized that retired police personnel should immediately inform the relevant police station or district police officials about any anti-social activities or suspicious individuals in their surroundings. She said, "You have extensive experience from your service period and are trained, so you can still render significant service to the department."

District President Kanta Singh Dhillon later said that the SP assured priority resolution of the problems faced by retired police personnel. She assured to issue orders soon for preparing their TA-DA related documents in the same police station area where they reside
