Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command, reviewed the operational readiness of Sudarshan Chakra Corps and Shahbaaz Division during Exercise Maru Jwala being conducted in the Thar Desert under the Tri Services framework of Exercise Trishul.
The exercise was a validation of innovative Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) incorporating new generation equipment and indigenously produced drones and counter-drone systems. The exercise involved combat manoeuvres by all arms including mechanised and infantry columns, aviation assets of Thar Raptors and Indian Air Force in realistic combat conditions in the Desert Sector.
The Army Commander interacted with participating troops and commended all ranks of Sudarshan Chakra Corps and all participating formations and units of Southern Command, Airborne Forces and Indian Air Force for their professionalism, agility & operational excellence.
