75TH NAVY DAY CELEBRATED AT SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND

The 75thNavy Day was celebrated at Headquarters South Western Command. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, Admiral Madhvendra Singh, former Chief of Naval Staff, eminent veterans from the Indian Navy and officers of the command attended the event. 

The Navy Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the audacious and daring missile attacks carried out by the Indian Navy at Karachi harbour (Op Trident) on the night of 3rd and 4thDecember 1971 during the Indo-Pak war. 

The Army Commander complemented the officers, men and retired personnel of the Indian Navy on their bravery, commitment and excellence in safeguarding our seas and ensuring national security. The event highlighted the jointmanship and team spirit existing among the rank and file of South Western Command wherein all Services are encouraged to work together for national security in a synergised manner.
