WOMEN AND CHILD WELFARE SOCIETY DISTRIBUTES WARM SWEATERS TO 50 UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS

Women and Child Welfare Society, Sector 45-D, Chandigarh, organized a special community welfare programme under the leadership of its Founder and Chairperson Ms. Pooja Bakshi. During the event, 50 underprivileged students of Government High School, Sector 46-C, Chandigarh, were provided warm sweaters to help them cope with the winter season.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Pooja Bakshi said that the organisation has been actively working for several years across various regions of Chandigarh and Punjab, fulfilling its social responsibilities. The society regularly distributes warm clothes, blankets, and other essential items to needy families.

She added that the organisation’s primary objectives include empowering women, providing educational support to children, and extending help to every person in need. Anyone seeking assistance may contact the society, which strives to offer maximum support.

Principal Rajinder Singh of Government High School, Sector 46-C, was present during the programme. He was honoured with a shawl and a bouquet by the society’s team. Appreciating the initiative, he said, “Such social programmes not only boost the confidence of students but also strengthen the spirit of cooperation and compassion in society. The efforts of the organisation are truly commendable.” 

Those present on the occasion included Advisor Om Prakash Pushpakar, environmental activist Naresh Kohli, Varinder Papla, member Rakesh Kumar Gupta, executive member Sukhwinder Kaur Dhiman, Rita Sharma (Emotional Freedom Specialist), Anjana, Meena, Secretary Gurdeep Kaur, Ankita, and volunteers Pooja, Neetika, Ayushi, Lovely, Mahima, along with the school staff, who actively participated in the initiative.
