The CBI, Court Ghaziabad on Monday has convicted and sentenced the accused Rajneesh Chahar, Chief Parcel Supervisor at Agra Fort Railway Station, North Central Railway, Agra (U.P.), to Four Years Imprisonment with a Fine of Rs. 10,000 in a Bribery Case. . 

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the instant case on 01.01.2016. The accused Rajneesh Chahar, while posted and functioning as Chief Parcel Supervisor at Agra Fort Railway Station, North Central Railway, Agra (U.P.), by abusing his official position as public servant demanded bribe of Rs.6,000 as monthly instalment from the authorized person for smooth functioning of his work of loading-unloading in Awadh Express, Agra Fort Railway Station. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused public servant Rajneesh Chahar red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.6,000 on 01.01.2016. 

After investigation, CBI filed Chargesheet on 26.02.2016 against the accused. Charges were framed against the accused on 16.03.2016. The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused accordingly.
