Sriganganagar Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Ajay Singla said that under the Chief Minister Ayushman Jeevan Raksha Yojana, 15 people, who helped seriously injured persons to save their lives, have applied for the incentive amount under the scheme.

Dr. Singla said that the state government is giving an incentive of Rs 10,000 and certificate of appreciation to the person who takes a seriously injured person to the nearest government or private medical institution in the state within the minimum possible time. Previously, this amount was Rs 5,000.

COIEC Vinod Bishnoi said that if the Good Samaritan who takes the injured person to the hospital is willing to provide their identity and avail the benefits of the scheme, the Medical Officer working in the hospital's emergency room will fill in the person's name, age, gender, address, mobile number, identity card, bank details in the prescribed form.

The concerned SHO/SDM will also recommend the Good Samaritan for the benefits of this scheme to the Director, Public Health, Medical and Health Services within three days of the accident. The Good Samaritan who takes the injured person to the nearest government or private hospital will be treated respectfully and will be allowed to leave the hospital immediately if they wish. If the injured person is seriously injured, the Good Samaritan who helped them will be given Rs 10,000 and a certificate of appreciation. However, if there is more than one Good Samaritan, the reward money will be divided equally among all of them.
