District and Sessions Judge Ravinder Kumar inspected the Juvenile Home and Juvenile Justice Board at Sriganganagar.
During the inspection, the visiting dignitary had talks with the children residing in Juvenile Home and took information about the facilities being provided to them.
Superintendent Rajeev Jakhar told the District Judge during the inspection that the residential children have been added to school education through Open Board and computer education is also being provided to them. The residential children are encouraged to practice meditation and education and lead a disciplined lifestyle, along with this they are encouraged to practice yoga regularly and stay away from drugs.
Information about the crèche run in the Communication Home was taken and discussions were held regarding adoption and the cases registered in the Juvenile Justice Board were also reviewed.
The cleanliness of the house premises and the facilities of clean drinking water and shed for the visitors were also reviewed.
The District Judge also planted saplings in the juvenile home premises.
During the inspection, District Legal Services Authority Secretary ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar, Principal Magistrate Juvenile Justice Board Maheshwari Barod, Juvenile Justice Board member Vikas Saraswat were also present
