Holidays have been extended in schools in Chandigarh till January 17. Since January 18 is a Sunday, schools will now open on January 19.
In view of the severe cold, the holidays in schools have been extended. This decision has been taken by the Education Department, Chandigarh.
Earlier, the holidays were extended in Chandigarh till January 13 and orders were issued to open schools on January 14.
But this afternoon, the Chandigarh Education Department extended the school holidays and now the holidays will be till January 17. Since January 18 is a Sunday, schools will now open directly on January 19.
