In a significant development to promote from grassroots women empowerment and participation of girls in Domestic & International Cricket , Gali Mohalla Cricket League (GMCL) Women Premier League has been announced with an opportunity to win Rs 11 lac Prize Money & play Internationally.
Baba Inder Preet founder GMCL said "Under 14-Under 19, 20 to 45 years Open Group, Inter School and Inter College in all formats leading to Mega Domestic & International GMCL's Women Premier league has been introduced in India & Internationally.This would include leather ball, tennis ball and tennis ball box cricket formats with the objective to identify young talent, provide them training in each different format and then make these players play & participate across International Leagues along with GMCL'S District - State - National & International Tier League."
Across India now in different categories trials would be conducted , exhibition matches would be organised , tournaments will be organised to scout young girls from schools, colleges , villages , remote areas , cities and states and then train them to make a professional career in Cricket.
Such a mult-tier well organised platform will provide ample opportunities for girls and talented pool of budding cricketers emerging as the biggest grassroots platform to prepare girls for State Teams, National Team and also give an opportunity to participate in prominent Domestic & International
Leagues. A welcome step based on the already successfully running Gali Mohalla Cricket Leagues across multi states in India & Internationally.
