CRACKDOWN ON “DRUG BROTHERS” IN PANCHKULA: PROPERTIES EARNED FROM DRUG MONEY TO BE SEIZED

More than three heroin smuggling cases are registered against both brothers. They used to bring heroin from Delhi and supply it in the Tricity area. The process to seize property worth around ₹7 lakh is underway.The Police Commissioner gave a strict message: “Identify drug traffickers, seize their illegal property, and demolish their illegal properties.”

Taking strict action under the Haryana Government’s “Drug-Free Haryana” campaign, Panchkula Police has started the process to seize properties earned through drug trafficking by two real brothers involved in heroin smuggling. The action is being taken under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act. After completing legal formalities, the properties will be officially confiscated.

DCP Crime and Traffic Manpreet Singh Sudan said that Darpan and Karan, residents of Khadak Mangoli, Panchkula, have been involved in heroin smuggling for a long time. More than three cases related to drug trafficking are registered against them. During investigation, it was found that the accused used to bring heroin from Delhi and supply it in the Tricity area. They also used their private vehicles for transporting drugs.

As part of the seizure process, one Swift car and one Pulsar motorcycle worth around ₹7 lakh in total are being attached.

In the first case, Darpan was arrested on October 1, 2022, by the Crime Branch Sector-26 team from Sector-31 area with 100 grams of heroin. On February 26, 2026, the process to attach his Pulsar motorcycle worth about ₹1.85 lakh was started.

In the second case, Karan was arrested on April 11, 2022, by the Detective Staff near Chownki village under Police Station Chandimandir area with 6 grams of heroin. On February 27, 2026, the process to seize his Swift car worth about ₹5.15 lakh was also initiated.

Strong Message from Police Commissioner : Police Commissioner (ADGP) Sibash Kabiraj confirmed the action and said that drug trafficking will not be tolerated in Panchkula. He clearly stated that every property earned from illegal drug trade will be brought under the law and confiscated. A proposal to seize the properties has already been sent to the competent authority under the NDPS Act, and the assets will be legally seized once the process is complete.

He also directed all police units in the district to identify active drug traffickers, trace their illegal properties, and take strict legal action, including demolishing illegal establishments if required.
The police Commissioner added that Panchkula Police is not limiting its action to arrests only. Three special teams have been formed in the district to run anti-drug awareness campaigns, educate youth, and ensure rehabilitation and medical treatment for drug victims.
