CJI JUSTICE SURYA KANT INAUGURATES GOLDEN JUBILEE GATE AT MDU ROHTAK

The newly constructed Golden Jubilee Gate at the campus of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, was ceremoniously inaugurated by the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Justice Surya Kant on Saturday. Built to commemorate the university’s Golden Jubilee Year, the grand gate symbolizes the institution’s achievements, progress, and glorious legacy.

On the occasion, Justice Surya Kant also planted a sapling, conveying a message of environmental conservation, and appreciated the green and clean environment of the campus.

Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice, Justice Sheel Nagu, District and Sessions Judge Ajay Tewatia, University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh, CJM Dr. Tarannum Khan, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, Registrar Dr. Krishankant, Dean CDC Prof. Vinita Hooda, Dean Planning & Development Prof. Pramod Bhardwaj, Director Horticulture Prof. Deepak Kaushik, Director Sports Dr. Shakuntala Beniwal, Executive Engineer J.S. Dahiya, along with several administrative officers, academicians, and distinguished guests were present on the occasion.

Constructed at a cost of approximately ₹1.25 crore, the Golden Jubilee Gate has been established towards the Jhajjar Bypass side, making entry and exit to the university more organized and convenient. Built on an RCC frame structure, the gate features Dholpur and red sandstone cladding, giving it a grand and attractive appearance.

Separate entry and exit gates have been developed for vehicles, with two lanes on each side. Additionally, four smaller gates have been built for pedestrians, along with a guard room for security, paved footpaths, and an extensively developed landscaped area in front of the gate.
