Department of School Education to resume the classes of all the Government/Aided and Un-Aided Recognized Private Schools of U.T., Chandigarh from Monday (January 19) onwards for Academic purposes.

The timings for the Government/Aided and Un-Aided Recognized Private Schools of U.T will be:

Single Shift For all classes Timings for staff 8.45 AM to 02:45 PM, Timings for students 9:00 AM to 02:30 PM

Double Shift: Classes 6th onwards  8.45 AM to 02:45 PM (Morning Shift), 9:00 AM to 01.45 PM (Morning Shift)

Classes 1st to 5th : 10:40 AM to 4:40 PM, 1:15 PM to 4:30 PM (Evening Shift)

This order will remain operational till 23.01.2026, said Mr. Nitish Singla, PCS, Director School Education, Chandigarh Administration.
