Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria honoured Laxmikant Tiwari, Radiological Safety Officer of the X-ray Department at GMCH, Sector 32, with the Bharat Gaurav Award for his outstanding work and dedication.
On this occasion, Mahamandaleshwar Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj, Haryana Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, Shyam Singh Rana, and Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan were also present.

Serving as the Radiological Safety Officer in the X-ray Department of GMCH, Tiwari has been providing high-quality services to patients. Recognizing his exceptional contribution, the Chandigarh Administrator presented him with the Bharat Gaurav Award.

In view of his remarkable social contributions, the Chandigarh Administration has honoured him twice with the State Award.
He has successfully organized numerous blood donation camps, dental check-up camps, and health awareness programs. Additionally, he produced a short film on the sensitive issue of gender-based sex selection, aiming to raise public awareness. This film was approved by the Government of India and has been screened by various government institutions.
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India also released this short film on YouTube, where it has been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people.
Laxmikant Tiwari is also the National President of the Indian Association of Radiological Technologists and played a key role in the formation of the National Commission of Allied Health Care Professions. He has also been nominated as a member of the National Commission and the Health Service Professionals Committee.
