A grand and dignified ceremony of the “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Bharat Gaurav Awards 2026” was held at Shah Auditorium, Rajniwas Marg, Civil Lines, Delhi, in memory of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter, founder of the Azad Hind Fauj, and hero of the freedom struggle. The event was organized by Dr. Deepak Mittal, Founder and Chairman of Udan Ek Pehal Foundation.
At the event, Suraj Rohilla, a boxing player and young social worker from Fatehgarh village in Jind district, was honored with the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Bharat Gaurav Awards 2026 for his excellent performance in sports and significant contribution to social service.
Suraj expressed his gratitude to the Founder and Chairman Dr. Deepak Mittal and Udan Ek Pehal Foundation, saying that such honors constantly inspire him to move forward. The objective of the program was to honor distinguished individuals who have done outstanding work for society and the nation, and to inspire the youth for national service. The program was inspired by the ideals of patriotism, courage, discipline, and sacrifice of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
It is noteworthy that Suraj received this honor for winning a gold medal in the international boxing competition held in Nepal and for his social work, such as tree plantation, water conservation, environmental protection, organizing blood donation camps, and inspiring youth by organizing sports competitions.

The event was graced by the dignified presence of chief guests including Yadwinder Singh Sandhu (grandson of Shaheed Bhagat Singh), Lieutenant General A.B. Shivane, Raj Shekhawat (Rashtriya Karni Sena), Jai Bhagwan Goyal (United Hindu Front), Mahant Varun Sharma (Prachin Hanuman Temple, Marghat Wale), and Vinay Chaudhary (BJP leader). Individuals who have made significant contributions in the fields of social service, education, human rights, nation-building, and public welfare were honored with the Bharat Gaurav Award.
