NCC DIRECTORATE ORGANIZED MOTIVATIONAL SEMINAR ON RAJAT JAYANTI OF KARGIL VIJAY DIVAS

A Motivational Seminar was organized by NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh (PHHP&C) under the aegis of HQ DGNCC, at DAV College Sector-10, Chandigarh  on Friday. .

The event coincides with the Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Divas on completion of 25 years of Kargil War and provided an apt platform to the young NCC Cadets to interact with real life heroes of the Defence Forces. Gen VP Malik, former Chief of Army Staff (Retd) and Lt Gen YK Joshi, former Army Commander of Northern ommand (Retd) were among the distinguished guest speakers.

In his address, Gen VP Malik complimented the Director General NCC and the ADG NCC PHHP&C for organising this valuable seminar to provide a suitable platform to the future soldiers i.e. NCC cadets. This is the genuine medium for the cadets to know about the bravery stories of our Kargil Heroes, He added. He informed that This is commendable that the Government has decided to increase the strength of NCC cadets.

Directorate PHHP&C. Others who spoke on the occasion were Brig SS Shekhawat; Brig Vijay Bhaskar (Retd); Col Sachin Nimbalkar and Col Sonam Wangchuk(Retd).


On the occasion, Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, Director General NCC delivered the keynote address and said that In this motivational seminar organised by the NCC Directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, We are celebrating the 25 years of Victory in Kargil. We have invited the real war heroes and the bravehearts involved in the Kargil operations to motivate & interact with the young cadets by sharing their field experiences, He added.

Earlier, the seminar commenced with the Welcome address by Maj Gen MS Mokha, DG, NCC Directorate PHHP&C. Others who spoke on the occasion were Brig SS Shekhawat; Brig Vijay Bhaskar (Retd); Col Sachin Nimbalkar and Col Sonam Wangchuk(Retd).

The motivational talks were spread over two sessions. The fine details of actual battles fought and won by the decorated officers and their gallant team of braves provided an immersive and captivating experience to the audience of over 500 NCC cadets, Associated NCC Officers, research scholars, Professors of Colleges and Universities and other distinguished guests.

All the guest speakers were felicitated by the DG NCC.
