ORDERS DEPARTMENTAL ACTION AGAINST ANIMAL HUSBANDRY OFFICER FOR BEING ABSENT FROM MEETING. CM NAYAB SINGH SAINI HOLDS REVIEW MEETING WITH OFFICERS IN SIRSA; INSTRUCTS TO SPEED UP DEVELOPMENT WORKS

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday held a meeting with district officers in Sirsa and reviewed the progress of pending projects. He said that any kind of delay or obstruction in development works will not be tolerated. He instructed that all works must be completed within the stipulated timeframe so that the general public can be benefitted.
He sought an explanation from the Superintending Engineer regarding delays in various announcements made under the Irrigation & Water Resources Department. These included works like remodeling of Kusumbi, Sureran, Asa Kheda Minor, Jandwala, Faggu, Lambi, Teja Kheda, Chautala distributaries, and widening of the bridge on Sheranwale Canal near village Madho Singhana. The CM directed that responsibility be fixed for the delays and it should be specified how long the files remained pending with each officer. He said that the Gati Shakti portal has been created precisely to avoid unnecessary delays in inter-departmental approvals like NOCs.
Similarly, he instructed the Executive Engineer of the PWD to expedite construction of CHCs, PHCs and Sub Health Centres at Madho Singhana, Jagmalwali, Goriwala, Mammad Kheda, Talwada Khurd, Patli Dabar, Nahraana, Najia Kheda, Phulkan and other locations.
The CM directed officers of the Marketing Board to take prompt action on works including a new sewerage system in Sirsa grain market, establishing an additional grain market outside Sirsa city and shifting the vegetable and timber markets there, construction of platforms in Dabwali grain market, construction of the Khuiya Nepalpur–Pirkheda road, ROBs and RUBs at Sirsa railway crossings, drainage system in Sirsa city, multi-storey parking, and construction of the new Municipal Council building.
He expressed displeasure at the delay in setting up a regional centre of Lala Lajpat Rai University at village Makhosarani by the Animal Husbandry Department and also at the absence of the concerned officer from the meeting. He ordered departmental action against the officer. Likewise, for negligence, he directed that Bhanu Pratap, who was the Executive Engineer in the Public Health Engineering Department in Sirsa, be chargesheeted. He stressed that people should not face problems of drinking water, and instructed that tube wells be installed at suitable places immediately and daily progress reports submitted.
Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the CM was apparised that 2,200 connections have already been released and process for 9,559 more is ongoing. He directed that the agency delaying the connections be blacklisted and take action against it.
During the meeting, Cabinet Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa instructed officers of PWD and Public Health Engineering Department to accelerate construction works.
Action against negligence in issuing NDCs for valid colonies
It was informed that 41 colonies in Sirsa were identified for regularisation as per government policy, out of which 22 have been declared valid after fulfilling the norms. Regarding issuance of NDCs in valid colonies, the CM said that if any officer deliberately shows negligence, strict action will be taken. He instructed to publish maps and boundaries of all valid colonies, adding that NDCs can also be obtained for vacant plots in such colonies. He also directed that no new illegal colonies should be allowed to emerge.
Campaign against drugs
The CM instructed the police to break the entire supply chain of drugs and take strict action against suppliers. SPs of Sirsa and Dabwali informed the Chief Minister that recently drug suppliers from Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Ferozepur had been arrested. Committees are being formed in villages for drug prevention, and intensive checking campaigns are already underway to curb drug abuse in the area.
