In a significant development, under the direction of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur IPS W/SSP UT, Chandigarh, Ms. KM Priyanka, SP/City, and in the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, SDPO/North-East, and Inspector/SHO Hariom Sharma, Police Station-Mauli Jagran, team of Police Station Mauli Jagran headed by P/ASI Pardeep Kumar and other police officials successfully arrested a person under MV theft Case (e-FIR). 

Case e-FIR No. 1631, dated 15.12.2025, U/s 303(2) BNS added 317(2) BNS, e-PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. This case e-FIR was registered online on the complaint of Mohit S/o Yashpal, wherein he reported regarding the theft of his motorcycle bearing registration no. CH-01CE-3055 make Hero Splendor Plus which was stolen away from his house.

During the course of investigation, HC Joginder Singh along with police party of PS-Mauli Jagran, arrested accused person namely Sandeep Singh @ Deep S/o Mangal Singh R/o Village Dona Mattar, Tehsil Guruhar Shai, Distt Ferozpur, Punjab Age 24 years from Mauli Complex. On 16.12.2025, the stolen motor cycle Splendor Plus bearing registration no. CH-01CE-3055 was recovered on the instance of accused Sandeep Singh @ Deep. The recovered motorcycle was taken into police possession. Accordingly, Section 317(2) BNS has been added in the above said case.

During further investigation, on 17.12.2025, accused Sandeep Singh @ Deep was produced before the Hon’ble court and two (02) days Police Remand was granted by the Hon’ble Court. On 18.12.2025 raid was conducted at his native place i.e., Vill. Dona Mattar, Tehsil Guruhar Shai, Distt Ferozpur, Punjab and during this total five (05) Motorcycles i.e., Black color Royal Enfield standard, White color Royal Enfield Classic, HF Deluxe and two (02) Splendor motorcycles have been recovered on the instance of accused Sandeep Singh @ Deep. During investigation it came to light that the recovered five motorcycles were stolen away from the different areas of UT, Chandigarh. All the recovered motorcycles have been taken into Police Possession. The further investigation is going on.

The collaborative effort by Sh. Vijay Singh, SDPO/North-East, and Insp. Hariom Sharma, SHO/PS-Mauli Jagran, have indeed made a significant impact in reducing and controlling MV theft incidents.
