CBI COURT AWARDS 4 YEARS IMPRISONMENT WITH A FINE OF RS. ONE LAKH EACH TO FOUR ACCUSED IN A BANK FRAUD CASE

The CBI Court, Delhi, vide its judgment and order passed on 18th December 2025, has sentenced four accused persons, namely, Sanjay Chaturvedi, Amit Chaturvedi, Sumit Chaturvedi and Pravin Juneja to Four Years Imprisonment with a Fine of Rs. One Lakh each, in a bank fraud case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI ) registered the instant case on 09.02.2009 on the conversion of Preliminary Enquiry wherein it was alleged that the accused persons in conspiracy with each other availed Rupee Term Loan of Rs 15 Crore from Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) by submitting false information and forged documents showing utilization of loan proceeds and siphoned off the funds so received from IDBI for purposes other than the purpose for which the loan was sanctioned and thereby cheated the IDBI.

After completion of investigation, CBI filed Chargesheet against the accused on 22.04.2010.

The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused accordingly.
