Accused persons has recently extended threat to Businessman and fired on his office in order to get the land issue settled. In this regard, FIR was registered at PS Bindapur. Accused Bharat@Manni was found involved in more than dozens of cases and recently came out of Tihar Jail.

Accused persons were found working on instruction of Jailed gangster Vinod@Vicky Sanyasi, who is associated with notorious Kapil Sangwan@Nandu Gang. Vinod@Vicky Sanyasi was earlier arrested by Crime Branch in Fir No.282.2023, PS Crime Branch, at that time he jumped parole in murder case granted by Hon’ble Delhi High Court.

Accused persons shown desperation and fired 02 bullets on raiding team during chase, in response 03 rounds were fired by Crime Branch.

One accused sustained gunshot injury in right leg and admitted to Hospital. TWO Pistol, 04 empty bullets, 03 live rounds and one scooty used in commission of crime was recovered during brief encounter.

Crime Branch has registered separate FIR and investigating the matter taking into consideration larger conspiracy angle including hiring of local criminals by jailed gangsters. 

Team AGS, Crime Branch arrested two wanted and absconding accused persons, involved in more than dozens of cases Delhi. They are active of gang member of VINOD@VICKY SANYASI GANG, who is associated with notorious Kapil Sangwan @Nandu Gang.

Accused namely Bharat @Manni s/o Shyam and Veeraz @ Virodhi s/o Allaudin were arrested after brief encounter near UER-II on road towards Qutab Enclave during the intervening night of 21.02.2026 and 22.02.2026. 

Considering the incidents of extortion call made by Gangsters and surge in their activities relating to firing on victims to show them threat in order to extort money and keeping in view the directions issued by Senior officers to track down the criminals/Gangsters, a team of AGS is specifically tasked to work on such incidents.

Information was received to HC Amit Kumar No.534/Crime through secret informer about absconding accused persons wanted in Fir No. 129/2026, date 20.02.2026, u/s 125/3(5) BNS and 27 Arms Act, Police Station – Bindapur, Delhi. It was also conveyed that, these accused persons are frequently changing their locations and place of stay.

It came to notice that, these desperate gangsters were involved in more that dozens of cases. Accordingly, a dedicated team of Insp. Pawan Kumar, comprising of SI Raja Ram, HC Amit Kumar, HC Jitender, HC Manish, under close supervision of Sh. Bhagwati Prasad, ACP/AGS, was constituted by Sh. Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP/Crime Branch to work on the information.

Team AGS, specifically HC Amit Kumar was working to trace accused person involved in the firing incident at PS Bindapur. Accused namely Bharat @Manni s/o Shyam r/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi age 23 years was found involved in 15 cases of Delhi. Another accused namely Veeraz @ Virodhi s/o Allaudin r/o Raja puri, Delhi age 23 years have recently joined Bharat@Manni and started indulging in criminal activities.

Accused Bharat@Manni came out of Tihar Jail on 21.01.2026, where he met Vinod@Vicky Sanyasi. On his instruction, Bharat  @Manni agreed to extend threat of persons in matter relating to plot in area of
Uttam Nagar and nearby area. They snatched scooty used in commission of crime from passerby in 1st week of February 2026 from road near Kali Basti to Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

After continuous rigorous manual and technical work, HC Amit Kumar developed specific information with help of secret informer about movement of accused persons near UER-II and going towards Qutab Vihar in late night in search of new hideout. Accordingly, team depart for place and lay down trap to
nab the absconding accused persons.   one scooty (whose number plate was damaged) with pillion rider seen coming from UER-II road, Dwarka Side, service road and took left turn for going towards
Qutab Vihar.

During stopping of scooty, accused persons run away and took out their pistols and started running towards bushes by taking advantage of darkness.

During this chase, one of the alleged persons, who name later revealed as Bharat @Mani s/o Shyam without any provocation, fire one round on HC Amit Kumar, which HC Amit Kumar narrowly escaped. HC Amit Kumar fired one round in AIR in order to warn absconding accused to stop and to prevent them for firing towards raiding team.

Another bullet was fired aiming towards leg of alleged person namely Bharat@Manni. The bullet hit the right leg of accused persons.

HC Amit Kumar has shown exceptional act of bravery by putting his life in danger and keep on chasing absconding accused in-spite of being fired upon.

Accused Veeraz @Virodhi also try to fire by using his pistol, aiming towards police party, but his pistol got jammed (latter revealed during apprehension of accused). Information about encounter was conveyed to Police Control Room at  112, narrating the incident. Crime Team and FSL team were also called on spot for inspection and to lift the exhibits/ evidences.

The accused persons were immediately rushed to Indira Ghandhi Hospital, Sector -09, Dwarka, Delhi.
Seized articles: -One pistol, found in possession of accused Bharat@ Manni and used to fire on police officials., One pistol color steel and black butt, with one magazine and one live cartridge,  Four empty rounds/ cartridges, which are marked by EC 1, EC 2, EC 3 and EC 4 by FSL team;,  02 live rounds/ cartridges, which are marked by LC 1and LC 2 by FSL team, One white color scooty made Honda Activa, having registration No. DL 4SBV 3961, it was stated to be snatched from Uttam Nagar area few days back for recce and committing crime. 

PROFILE OF ACCUSED: Accused Bharat @Manni s/o Shyam has studied up to 8th class and thereafter started working as Motor Mechanic at Som Bazar, Delhi. He worked for 03 years at this place and after that he indulge in taking smack. In order to satisfy his urge for smack, he started committing theft. During his stay at Tihar Jail, he came in contact with Vinod@Vicky Sanyasi and started working on his
instructions including extending threats to people by firing on them in order to extort money or to make settlement according to their terms.

Accused Veeraz @Virodhi born in West Bengal and his parents came to Delhi in the year 2003. He studied upto 12th class and after that he left studies in the year 2022. He gave tuition to children’s during the year 2023 to 2025. He met Bharat@Manni in the year 2025 and started taking smack and slowly in crime committed by Bharat@Manni. They snatched scooty in 1st week of February 2026 for recce of targets together and on 20.02.2026, they fired upon the office of victim to force him for settling the land issue according to their terms. said Mr. Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP, Crime Branch.
