THOUSANDS OF DEVOTEES REACH SHANTIVAN TO CELEBRATE MAHASHIVRATRI

The Brahma Kumaris celebrated Mahashivratri with great pomp and show, hoisting a 100-foot-high Shiva flag amidst thousands of people from India and abroad at Shantivan, Abu Road. The organization's Chief Administrator, BK Mohini, said that the flag of Lord Shiva sends a message to us to remain in remembrance of Lord Shiva and strive to remove our inner vices.

Joint Chief Administrator Munni Behan, calling this day a great day, said that the organization is celebrating the 90th Shiva Jayanti. Additional Chief Administrator BK Jayanti said that Dadi Janaki used to say that Shiva Jayanti is not only the birth anniversary of Brahma Baba and the children, but also the birth anniversary of the Gita.

During Mahashivratri, thousands of people sang songs while holding small flags of Lord Shiva. Among those present were BK Atma Prakash, editor-in-chief of Gyanamrit magazine, BK Rajni, in-charge of Japan, BK Santosh, in-charge of St. Petersburg, Russia, BK Meera, in-charge of Malaysia, and BK Sudha, in-charge of Moscow centre.

General Secretary BK Karuna Bhai said that we received the introduction to the worldly, supernatural, and spiritual Father from Father Shiva himself. Additional General Secretary BK Mrityunjaya Bhai said that this day can also be called the festival of knowledge, the festival of love, and the festival of peace.
