Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer, National President of Youth Akali Dal and Ghanaur Halka Incharge, strongly condemned Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP leadership for openly lying to the people of Gujarat about the flood situation and compensation in Punjab.

Jhinjer stated that Arvind Kejriwal is shamelessly misleading the Gujarati public, knowing very well that they are unaware of the ground reality of Punjab. He alleged that instead of helping the flood victims, Kejriwal and the AAP leadership behaved like “flood tourists”. They arrived only for photo-ops and left without providing any meaningful relief to the suffering people.

He further accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of gross mismanagement of dams, which he claimed was directly responsible for worsening the floods in Punjab. The Punjab Government had announced ₹50,000 per acre as compensation to the flood-affected farmers, but not a single rupee has been paid till date.

In the 2023 floods, Bhagwant Mann had promised full compensation for everything including dead goats and hens, yet zero compensation was given. Farmers who suffered due to cotton crop disease also received no support from the government. Even in the 2025 floods, no relief has reached the affected farmers. Additionally, a massive ₹12,000 crore Disaster Management Fund is missing from the Punjab Government’s accounts. Bhagwant Mann had also promised that compensation would be credited to farmers’ accounts even before the girdawari and damage assessment, but this too turned out to be another broken promise.

Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer exposed the blatant lie told by Arvind Kejriwal in Gujarat, where he falsely claimed that farmers in 23 districts of Punjab have already received ₹50,000 per hectare compensation. He described Kejriwal as “The Biggest Liar of Punjab Politics”.
