Police Operation Cell has arrested two active associate of Lucky Patial gang namely Deepak Kumar @ Deepu & Sahil S/o Sh. Ajaib Singh under Arms Act and recovered two country made pistol along with three live cartridges.

As per the directions of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, SP Operations, UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, DSP Operations and supervision of Insp. Jaspal Singh (Admin) and close guidance of Insp. Harinder Singh Sekhon, team of Operations Cell is deputed in the area of U.T Chandigarh to keep vigil on the anti social elements, wanted criminals / gangsters etc.

On 07.04.2026, upon the secret information, a team of Operation Cell headed by Insp. Jaspal Singh arrested two accused namely Deepak Kumar @ Deepu S/o Sh. Surjit Singh R/o village-Batour, Barwala, District-Panchkula, Haryana, age-26 yrs along with 01 country made (desi katta) alongwith 02 live cartridges and another boy namely Sahil S/o Sh. Ajaib Singh R/o village-Tasambili, District-Mohali, Punjab, age-30 yrs along with 01 country made (desi katta) alongwith 01 live cartridge were recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 39 dated 07.04.2026 U/s 25-54-5959 Arms Act has been registered against both the accused in Police Station-26, Chandigarh.

During course of investigation, it revealed that accused Deepak Kumar @ Deepu is a habitual drugs addict and a FIR was registered against him in PS-Kurali, District-Mohali (Pb) in the year 2020. During interrogation it came to light that both of them are active associate of Lucky Patial Gang and active in tri-city area. During sustained interrogation, it emerged that both accused are active associates of the notorious Lucky Patial Gang and have been operating across the tri-city region. Their involvement has
also surfaced in the sensational Chinni murder case, wherein they provided critical logistical, financial, and lodging support to the main shooters, namely Rajan @ Piyush Pahalwan and Pritam Shah in the connivance of Rahul Sharma and Mukul Rana Chandigarh.

Further disclosures indicate that, acting under the directions of gang leaders Mukul Rana and Lucky Patial, the accused were engaged in collecting extortion money from club owners and businessmen in the tri-city area. Notably, on the day of their apprehension, they had arrived in Chandigarh with the intent to intimidate and threaten local club owners.
