Maharashtra has won the fifth T10 Women's National Cricket Championship for Deaf being organized by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association and UT Cricket Association at the DAV Public School, Sector 8 on Friday.

The winning team defeated Delhi by six wickets with two balls to spare in a thrilling end. Maharashtra won the toss and invited Delhi to bat first. Delhi scored 40 runs at the loss of two wickets. In reply, Maharashtra achieved the target with the help of Neelam Kini (20).

UTCA’s President Sanjay Tandon felicitated the winning and runner-up teams in the presence of IDCA’s President Sumit Jain. Earlier in the semi-finals, Punjab (24/3) lost to Delhi (46/1) while Maharashtra (41/3) defeated Andhra Pradesh (34/1).

Neelam Kini of Maharashtra was awarded the Player of the Match while Needa Jabi of Maharashtra was awarded the Best Batter of the Tournament. Shraddha Vaishnav of Delhi was awarded the Best Bowler of the Series and Player of the Series titles.

During the event, Chandigarh player Manish Jain was honored for representing India in the Bilateral T20 International Deaf Series held in England from June 18 to 27. The Indian team won this series by 5-2.
