At Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, the tricolour soared high as hearts swelled with pride. Pujya Ishwarcharan Swamiji, International Coordinator of BAPS, unfurled the national flag and saluted the nation — honouring the sacrifices of the past and the dreams of the future.
The celebration resonated with stirring patriotic songs, a spirited parade, and uplifting messages — uniting all for India. Pujya Munivatsal Swami was also present on the occasion.
Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami (88) said that we pray to God that India develops fully in every field. The problems that are currently in the country should be resolved soon and all Indians should be happy. We also remember the countless patriots who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence.
How can we forget Guru Yogiji Maharaj on this day? He used to chant 25 rounds every day for India's independence on the orders of his Guru Shastriji Maharaj. His devotion and penance are also at the root of India's independence. In this way, we should protect this freedom achieved through the efforts of many people!”
