27th free surgical camp was organised commemorating Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s centenary. The closing ceremony was held at the Sai Temple in Sai Vihar here.

Kamlesh Dawar, District President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti and Ram Kumar, local coordinator, said that 78 surgeries were performed free of charge at the Sai Hospital and Laparoscopic Surgery Center in Abohar. Medicines, all types of lab and ultrasound tests, and meals were also provided to patients.

Dr. Pulkit Sethi and Dr. Mehak Sethi flew in from England to assist in the operations at the centenary camp. Other specialists included Dr. V.P. Sethi, Dr. Sarla Sethi, Dr. Ujjwal Bansal, Dr. T.S. Singh, anaesthesiologists Dr. Vicky Bansal, Dr. Puneet, physician Dr. Naveen Sethi, ultrasonologist Dr. C.L. Bhargava, 83-year-old nursing icon Santosh Bajaj, Kusum Arora (matron), lab technicians - Ashwini, Deepak, Sudhir, nursing staff - Roma, Jasbir, Sandeep, Jyoti, Ritu, Ajay Malhotra and Anil.

Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh honored Samiti’s District President Kamlesh Dawar, while senior officials of the Samiti honored Dr. V.P. Sethi and Dr. Sarla Sethi for their 27 years of tireless services.
