A tragic incident occurred late last night in Sunam Udham singh wala ,where a 50-year-old man was killed while attempting to resolve a minor dispute between children.

The incident took place in Indira Basti near Hanuman Mandir, where a small quarrel between children escalated after their families got involved. Hearing the commotion, Raj Kumar, along with his nephew Balinder Kumar, reached the spot to calm both sides.

However, during the confrontation, one group allegedly called around half a dozen youths to support them. In the ensuing violence, Raj Kumar was attacked with a sharp weapon and killed on the spot, while his nephew Balinder Kumar sustained injuries.

Inspector Prateek Jindal of City Police Station Sunam confirmed that a case has been registered against six accused — Harry, Sawan, Gobind, Aman, Karan, and Varun — under relevant sections of the law. Police have started further investigation.
