The CBI has arrested the Manager and Investigator of National Insurance Company Ltd. in a bribery case. 

The CBI registered the instant case on Tuesday against the accused Investigator, National Insurance Co. Ltd., Delhi, based on a complaint. The accused demanded an undue advantage of Rs. 3,00,000 from the complainant for reactivating the cashless medical facility for Private Hospital, Manesar, Haryana, as the accused was deputed for enquiry in the said matter by National Insurance Co. Ltd., Regional Office- Delhi. It is further alleged that the complainant has already given part of the bribe i.e., Rs. 100000, out of the demanded bribe of Rs. 3,00,000. 

After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept an undue advantage of Rs. 2,60,000 from the complainant. Out of the said demanded bribe amount, the accused has already obtained part of the bribe of Rs. One lakh. The accused also directed the complainant to deliver the remaining bribe of Rs. 1,60,000 on 07.04.2026. 

The CBI laid a trap on 07.04.2026 and caught the accused appointed as Investigator by National Insurance Company Ltd. red-handed while demanding Rs. 1,60,000. During further trap proceedings, the role of the accused Manager, National Insurance Company Ltd., also surfaced. The aforesaid both accused persons have been arrested.  Further investigation is under way.
