SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENTS CAN ALSO LIVE A BETTER LIFE: DR. VISHU TANTIA

Dr. Vishu Tantia, senior psychiatrist and director of Tantia Hospital (Multi speciality Critical Care Center) has said that treatment of schizophrenia is possible. If he gets support from family and friends, he can also live a better and normal life.

On World Schizophrenia Day, a program was organized today at Dr SS Tantia Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Jan Seva Hospital).

Dr Tantia said that most of the schizophrenia patients in India do not take treatment even though timely treatment is necessary otherwise it takes a serious form. Such patients should be motivated. One should behave cordially with them. Legal measures should also be taken against schizophrenia patients who take to the path of crime.

Dr. Ankush Sharma, psychiatrist of Jan Seva Hospital, said that schizophrenia means a divided mind. In this the patient is unable to tell the difference between real and unreal. His mind is always moving in a world of his own creation.

Chief Administrative Officer Prof. Baljit Singh Kuldiya said that a short film was also shown giving detailed information about schizophrenia disease. Dr. Vishu Tantia answered the questions of nursing students and others. Medical Superintendent Dr. H.S. Bindra, psychologist Dr. Manish Baghla, hospital manager Ved Chaudhary, nursing superintendent Indraj Bhakar, Shriram, Ram Kanya, Sushila, Megha Sharma were also present.
